According to the Commissioner for Education in the state, Mr. Johanies Jighem, the payment was part of effort by the governor's administration to revive the education sector in the state.
Jighem said the state government has also directed all secondary schools principals to summit a comprehensive report of condition of their respective schools.
He said that the report would enable the present administration to carry out renovation of dilapidated structures and provide the necessary materials.
Then commissioner added that Governor Ishaku, who promised to rescue the state, said he would live no stone un-turned in developing all sectors of the state’s economy.
