The Student Affairs Division of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, has been alerted of incessant stealing of personal items of students by some unscrupulous elements among the student populace on a regular basis.
In order to prevent a re-occurrence of such incidents, students are hereby advised as follows:
  1. Bags containing important items should be handed over to a known person while going to the toilet or should be carried along.
  2. Valuable items that are not really needed for lectures should be left in the hostel and properly locked in a safe.
  3. Report any strange person or draw the attention of the security men to any suspected persons.
  4. Do not leave valuables on the car seats, so as not to attract passerby.
  5. Always lock your personal items securely in your car, parked preferably in an open space for security reasons.
