The Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka will hold its second cult-renunciation ceremony under this administration on May 26, 2016 at the College of Health Sciences, Nnewi. The event will attract several powerful men of God who will officiate at the ceremony. May 26, 2016 has already been declared a lecture free day at Nnewi to enable staff and students participate in the ceremony that will hold at the CHS Auditorium by 11.00 a.m.
The Chief Host is the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J. E. Ahaneku, FAS whose untiring effort towards improving well being in the University has attracted commendations from within and outside the University.
It could be recalled that a similar event (Cult Renunciation) was held at the Awka Campus of the University in 2015 where sixty seven students (67) renounced cultism
