(i) Manifesto: If a political party has a good manifesto this may produce overwhelming support for the party at election
(ii) Organisation: well planned organisational structure can produce better chances for a party
(iii) Unity: this can help to brighten the chances of the party at election
(iv) Spread of membership: A political party has more chances of victory at polls of followership cut across the society
(v) Adequate funding: A party with enough found can organize the best of campaigns and rallies by engaging the service of an advertising agency for a well produced party
Iv)bribery and corruption
i)Political instability: frequent change of government result in constant change of top officials of govt service like minister or commissioners, head of service, etc which affect civil services in general
ii)Political interference:government does not give the body the freedom to run its affairs which hinders its effectiveness
iii)tribalism:this has become the yardstick in determing who to employ and fire in civic services
iv)bribery and corruption:civic service fail to perform their official duty as they look forward to bribery before doing their jobs which militate against it effectiveness
v)red-tapism:it is the excessive use of formalities in the service which militate against it effectiviness
i. Independent Electoral Body
The establishment of an independent and non-partisan electoral body who is charged with the responsibility of conducting election without induced manipulation or influence by either powerful citizens or any organ of government. The selection of official of the electoral commission who are non-partisan but transparent, honesty and astitute integrity.
ii. Equal Electoral Representation
The division of the counting into constituencies on equal population bases to make sure that there is equal electoral representation.
iii.Registration Of Voters:
Provision must be made by the electoral commission to register voters and to embark on periodic revision and update of such voters register so names of those who are either dead or no more suitable to be in the register will be dropped and those who are eligible to vote are included.
iv. Electoral Law
There must be electoral laws that will stipulate and guide the conduct of free and fair election.
v. Independent Judiciary
The judiciary must be independent to interrupt electoral laws and adjudicate on electoral offences and petitions without fear or favor
i) The military strength of Nigeria: The strength of the army,air-force and navy can affect her foreign policy
ii) Historical background: Nigeria was colonised by britain and this co,onial experience can affect her foreign policy
iii) National or domestic interest:this should form the basis of Nigeria’s foreign policy.The interest of the people,their economic and social well being should be promoted.This has the capacity of affecting Nigeria’s foreign policy
iv) Geographical location: Nigeria is located inAfrica and has made it clear that,as we are in Africa,Africa should be the colonization of African continent,supporting the struggle for eradication of appartheid policy in south Africa etc
v) Public opinion on issues: Opinion of the peope on issues of national importance can influence Nigeria’s foreign policy
(i) One of the problems facing common wealth is the fact that its member-nations belong to many different other organisations which make them to have divided interest and loyalty to commonwealth
(ii) Many member-nations of the common wealth as a result of the fact that the head of the organisation is not elected do not recognize and respect the head of the organisation
(iii) Member-nations' military personnel are no longer exclusively trained in british military institutions
(iv) The common wealth has no charter like U.N.O and O.A.U and therefore,therefore,there are no formal rules governing it
(v) South Africa's apartheid policy is still a problem that is threatening to polarize member- nations of the common wealth
The ogboni was the third organ of government of the old oyo empire.
