DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
The Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme is planned to last for two academic sessions of two semesters each, while the Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) Programme would last for one academic session of two semesters.
Entry Requirements For Rivers State Poly HND Programme 2016/2017
The minimum requirements for admission into the Higher National Diploma are:
(i) National Diploma (ND) from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori or other recognized and accredited Polytechnic, with a minimum grade of LOWER CREDIT in relevant discipline.
(ii) Possession of the entry requirement for the corresponding National Diploma (ND) Programme.
(iii) Possession of a credited one year Post National Diploma Industrial work Experience in approved Establishment, Industrial or a Business Organization.
(iv) In exceptional cases, ND Holders with a pass (CGPA of 2.00-2.49) in the ND examination with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific fields may be considered for admission into HND Programme.
Entry Requiremnts For Rivers State Polytechnic Pre-ND Programmes 2016/2017
The minimum entry requirements for admission into the Pre-National Diploma(Pre-ND) Programme are:
(i) Possession of a minimum of five passes in the West African School Certificate, General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level, Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO) or their equivalent in the relevant subjects at not more than two sittings” English Language and Mathematics inclusive.
(ii) Candidates who passes in City and Guild, National Technical Certificate (NTC) and National Technical Education Board (NABTBTEB) may also be considered for Engineering and Technology’’ Courses.
(iii) Candidates awaiting the results of the above examinations Board may also apply.
How To Apply For Rivpoly HND & Pre-ND Programmes
All interested HND candidates including those who wrote the last Utme (exams) and chose the institution (either as Most preferred, More Preferred or Preferred) as well as candidates for our Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND Programme) should follow the following steps to apply for Rivers State Polytechnic programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session:
STEP 1: Interested candidates for HND,Pre-ND and ND programs of the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori shall proceed to any branch of Union Bank & FCMB Nationwide to make paymentof N16, 300 (N15, 000 for Form, N1000 Portal Access Charge and N300 Bank Charges).
Candidate shall provide the following details: UTME registration number, Name, Email, Phone Number and any other detail
STEP 2:After making the payment, bank shall issue a receipt with Confirmation Number to candidate.
