Salem University Lokoja, Signs MoU With University of Portsmouth

Salem University have entered into a partnership with University of Portsmouth with the aim of creating better opportunities for growth and development for both institutions. The memorandum of understanding to this effect was signed when the representatives of University of Portsmouth led by Dr. David Ndzi paid a working visit to Salem University and where received at the Senate Conference room.
The areas of partnership would see both institutions collaborating in world class research and development of solutions in environment, Information and communication technology and food security, student exchange programme, staff up scaling and staff development. The vice chancellor of Salem University, Professor Joseph Fuwape intimated the visiting team of the university’s achievements in academic excellence and infrastructural development. He stated that the university have grated the permission by the National Universities Commission to commence it post graduate schools as well as the start of academic programmes in Mass communication, sociology and English. Dr. David, head of the University of Portsmouth’s team said his team was in the university to explore areas of corporation with SU so as to foster academic excellence and prosperity for both institutions. It would be recalled that the University has in recent times entered into similar partnerships with other renowned universities in the world.
