ABUAD Emerges Best In The 1st National Engineering Students Competition

The final stage of the competition took place at the National Space and Research Development Agency, Obasanjo Space Center, Abuja. Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti presented the two zonal winners in individual category to represent the south west zone at the National level. Innovations presented by Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti in the individual category are “Novel Autonomous Fire Fighting Robot”. by Etudo John and Oguntuase Oluwaseye presented an innovation on “ Autonomous Pipeline leakage detecting system in Niger Delta area of Nigeria”.
Of the 36 projects from the 6 geo-political zone, Mr. Oguntuase Oluwaseye Bolaji of Afe Babalola university emerged the 1st place winner in the individual category of the 1st national engineering students competition, winning the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira and certificate.
Zonal Level (Ibadan)
Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti emerged 2nd and 3rd position out of the seventeen south west universities with  projects titled “Novel Autonomous Fire Fighting Robot”  by Etudor John and “ Autonomous Pipeline leakage detecting system in Niger Delta area of Nigeria”  by Oguntuase Oluwaseye respectively. With these positions ABUAD represented the southwest zone at the national level alongside with other winning Universities from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. The final stage took place in FCT, Abuja on the 30th of June.
