The swear-in ceremony which was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele and other Principal Officers witnessed impressive attendance by the students’ population who expressed their joy at the new executive members led by the new President Aridiogo David Olaitan who won a keenly contested election.
The Vice Chancellor congratulated the new SUG leadership on their victories at the polls and told them that their duties was to complement the management’s new executives of making EKSU one of the best Universities in Nigeria and not to truncate the peace of the University with confrontation.
The Vice Chancellor said he will welcome the students in his office at all times.
He urged them to come up with innovation that could improve the quality of life and academic of the students
In his acceptance speech, the new SUG President, Aridiogo David Olaitan said he was ready to carry the hopes of the students and perfect other rights while working closely with University management.
Other elected members who were sworn in are Tella Omotolani Ruquayat (Vice president 1), Oyesanya Olalekan Julius (Vive president 2), Temitope Emmanuel (Gen. Secreatary), Ibukun Titilayo Samuel (Financial Secretary), Ajorin Wahab (Treasurer), Adio Shunola Oluwasheyi (PRO), Roy Adedamola (Welfare Director), Fayemi Demilade (Social Director), Abubakar Suaanala (Sport Director).
Earlier the Oath was administered in the new excos by the head of the Legal Unit of Ekiti State University, Barrister Daniels Fayose
