ACE, Ondo Provost Assures Students Improved Welfare & Academic Excellence

The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education {ACE} Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has assured Part-time Degree and Nigeria Certificate in Education {NCE} students of the institution, that the Management under his leadership would accord priority to their welfare.
Prof. Ogen gave the assurance on Monday September 5, 2016 while addressing the student before the commencement of their 2014/2015 contact examinations in the College.
While reminding the students to be conscious of the institutions zero tolerance to examination malpractices, the Provost stated that the warning has become necessary “as anyone caught violating the law would be sanctioned accordingly”. He harped on the need for them to obey all rules and regulations guiding the examinations and assured that the Management under his leadership, would continue to provide all necessary facilities, that would enhance their academic performance.
Responding to questions from issues raised by some of the students on alleged harassment by College security personnel, power outage in the hostels, school fee, regularization fee as well as Laboratory matters and On-line registration, the Provost assured the students that all grievances would be looked into while the College Management would put measures in place to address the situation. Prof. Ogen advices the students to be law abiding during their stay on campus by wearing their identity card at all times to enhance easy identification.
He enjoined them to spend their time wisely and abstain from any act that could make them run foul of the College rules and regulations.
In addition, he also emphasized the need for them to ensure prompt payment of all fee charged by the College and acceptance of On-line method of registration for their courses instead of the Manual format, which is fast becoming out model in the modern day Information Communication Technology {ICT} world.
In his address, the Director of Part-time Studies {DPTs} in the College, Dr. Afolabi Festus Oluwole, expressed appreciation to the College Management for the support given to his Directorate. He assured members of the College Management and the students of his determination to build on the legacy bequeathed to him by his predecessor. Mr. Agun Olufemi Felix.
The event held at the Babatunde Ipaye lecture theatre was attended by some Principal Officers of the College including the Deputy Provost, Dr. Samule Akintunde; Acting College Librarian, Mr. Akinade Awoyemi; Assistant Director, Part-time Studies, Dr. Ambode Alexander Abiodun; immediate past Director, Part-time studies, Mr. Agun Olorunfemi Felix.
Also in attendance was the Principal Assistant Registrar, Information and Public Relations Unit, Mr. Akinfolarin Moses Olusola; staff from the School of Part-time studies, Information andPublic Relations Unit as well as Centre for Educational Technology {CET} to mention but a few.
