Present were respected dignitaries, the Vice Chancellor of UNIMAID Prof Ibrahim Njodi, the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, the Provost of the College of Medical Sciences Unimaid.
This year's ceremonies were like none other, as College of Medical Sciences Unimaid is the only medical school in the country to hold two Attestation ceremonies in one year (one held in January, and the other in November). It is really a giant stride in the history of this great institution. The Registrar of MDCN further reiterated that the council will as from next session start a central posting for newly graduated medical and dental doctors into their one year housemanship, this move is to reduce the stress and hardship of doctors jumping from one hospital to the other in search of a spot for house job.
Notably, the college produced six best graduating students( 4 MBBS and 2 BDS) and an overall best graduating student(with distinctions in Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Community Medicine). All the best graduating students were granted automatic employment in the University Teaching Hospital by the Vice Chancellor. It was a wonderful occasion.
