Kwara Poly 2017/18 HND Admission Form On Sale [Full Time & Part-Time]

Applications are invited for admission into the Kwara State Polytechnic Higher National Diploma Programmes [Full Time and Part- Time] for the 2017/18 Academic Session.

Available Programmes

The following programmes are available on Regular basis for two academic sessions.
A. INSTITUTE OF APPLIED SCIENCES
(i) Statistics
(ii) Science Laboratory Technology with options in Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics with Electronics and Biochemistry.
(iii) Hospitality Management
B. INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
(i) Architectural Technology
(ii) Building Technology
(iii) Estate Management
(iv) Quantity Surveying
(v) Urban & Regional Planning
(vi) Surveying and Geoinformatics.
C. INSTITUTE OF FINANCE & MANAGEMENT STUDIES
(i) Accountancy
(ii) Banking & Finance
(iii) Business Administration and Management.
(iv) Marketing
(v) Public Administration
(vi) Purchasing & Supply
D. INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
(i) Computer Science
(ii) Office Technology & Management
E. INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
1. Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology with options in:
(i) Farm Power & Machinery Engineering
(ii) Post Harvest Technology
(iii) Soil and Water Engineering
2. Civil Engineering Technology with options only in:
(i) Structural Engineering
3. Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with options in:
(i) Power and Machine
(ii) Electronics and Telecommunication
4. Mechanical Engineering Technology with options in:
(i) Manufacturing Engineering Technology
(ii) Power and Plant Engineering Technology
5. Mining Engineering Technology with option only in:
(i) Mining Engineering Technology
6. Metallurgical Engineering Technology with option only in
(i) Metallurgical Engineering Technology
NB: Prospective candidates are expected to indicate their areas of interest (i.e. options)
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND), WEEK-END PROGRAMMES (THREE SESSIONS)
The following programmes are available on Week-end basis only for three academic sessions.

D. INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

(i) Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology
(ii) Mechanical Engineering Technology
(iii) Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
(iv) Civil Engineering Technology
(v) Mining Engineering Technology
(vi) Metallurgical Engineering Technology

Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission into the HND programmes will be required to have the following qualifications:
1. National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.
2. Evidence of one year post-ND Cognate experience (i.e. Industrial Training)
3. Applicants with Pass Grade in the ND will be required to have at least two years Post-National Diploma industrial experience.
4. Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest Technology option) are required to have at least a Lower Credit grade at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:
i. Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
ii. Agricultural Technology
iii. Food Science Technology
iv. Agricultural Engineering Technology
5. Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.
6. Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology are expected to be graduates of National Diploma in Mineral Resources or Mining Engineering Technology only.
7. Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.
8.Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes.
*Holders of ND Mass Communication will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.
9. It is mandatory for HND Regular Applicants to fill the JAMB Registration Numbers used for their ND Programmes. Only Applicants with ND JAMB Registration Numbers will be considered for admission.

Note:
  1. All applications attract a fee of Ten Thousand (N10,000.00) exclusive of bank and other charges.
  2. All payments for application should be made through ‘College Pay’ using your Debit Card, Master Card, or Prepaid Card.
  3. Applicants sitting for the 2017 November / December Ordinary Level Examinations are not eligible for admission.
  4. All applications close on Saturday, 15th July, 2017.
