“Your school from our records has been identified as one of the examination centers that is not prone to examination malpractice and we are therefore willing to partner with the school in the conduct of the examination” these were words from West African Examination Council (WAEC) to the Polytechnic Staff Secondary School in a letter which confirms the approval of the School as a GCE center in Kwara state.

The Principal, Mr. O.A. Roberts, disclosed this during the sixteenth graduation ceremony of the School held recently at their premises.

Mr. Roberts, in his speech, described the Management of the Polytechnic under the leadership of Dr. Lateef Olatunji as committed, diligent, productive and dynamic. In his words, “God has used you to improve our welfare, and ensure a promising and glorious future for us. This School without any iota of doubt is the best within the vicinity and among the best in the federation. Our WAEC & NECO results, coupled with our outstanding performance in curricular activities such as quiz, debates and sports can attest to this. The discipline you have inculcated in both staff and students was handsomely rewarded as WAEC gave the School a GCE center approval.”

The Rector according to him has added more impetus to the accelerated drive to bring monumental developments and academic excellence to the school. He further urged the management to speed up actions in their plans to run ‘A’ Level programme in the school as all prerequisites and capacity are in place. He also pleaded with the management to flag off G.C.E. ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level London Examination programme in the school as soon as possible.

Mr. Roberts while congratulating the graduating students admonished them to be humble, honest and patriotic. He urged them to be good ambassadors of their families and Alma Mata because they are going into a more sophisticated community and must therefore remain focused not involving in any act that could truncate hopes and expectations of their parents and the nation.

All members of staff, executives of Parent/Teachers Association, Old Students Association, parents and well-wisher present at the occasion were well appreciated for their unflinching support toward the development of the school and the day’s ceremony.
